Project Labour

The “project.labour” project/exhibition is a multi-layered international artistic and curatorial exchange. Through cross-disciplinary dialogue, the participating artists and curators negotiate the relationship between new and historic evolutions of manufacturing, automation and distribution processes and local and international cultural formations. The poster, publication and the accompanied visual material tried to keep these notions in mind as to visualise the conceptual ideas of the project. So inspiration was drawn from the visual material that encopasses the world of labour and automation such as signs, symbols, plans and icons. An extra layer of meaning was added with the central more abstract forms, which were inspired by constructivist art and the exhibited works.
